Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento

Ashton Blaise Whitty (born October 1st, 1995 at Berkeley California) is an actor. Her work as an actress is well-known for her roles in Choices (2010, The Heart and Other Small Shapes, 2006) and Chrissie Mair's Content House, 2022.

Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film and actor family. She pursued both professions her own. At the age of nine when she began her acting debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e Bisogni. in 1988 she portrayed the leading role in Cristina Comencini's first feature film Zoo. Additionally, she was an integral part of Michele Soavi's acting cast for The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, the film she appeared in as Nanni Moretti's daughter was released just a few years later. However, it is Close Friends by Michele Placido that saw Asia's acting career begin to take off. The film was highly acclaimed in the Cannes International Film Festival. The film was made with her father for the first time in Trauma, a renowned Italian director of horror, Dario Argento. Her mother, Daria Nicoleli, is the most adored actress of Argento, and she was the anorexic looking to find her parents' killer. Dario Argento's The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she has made with her father, among them Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome Asia's absorbed and intense acting style was well-used in Giuseppe Piccioni's Condannato a Nozze . In 1993, she starred alongside the Perdiamoci of Carlo Verdone di vista in which she was Arianna who was a disabled girl. It was a complex, challenging part that earned her the David di Donatello award for most outstanding actress. She also played prominent roles in the international cast in the film Queen Margot directed by Patrice Chereau. The 1995 film she co-directed alongside Michel Piccoli for Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio won her an award from David diDonatello in addition to the Grolla d'oro. Asia's first short film was an episode in the De Generazione movie. Two years after, Asia became a director and produced two films. The first, AbelAsia was a homage to her dad. Asia's feature directing debut was Scarlet Diva where she starred as the lead actress and also wrote the screenplay. The film debuted in May 2000 across Italy as well as around the world. The film was awarded the Brooklyn's special prize at the Williamsburg festival of film.
